Firm Overview

In 1998, Stanfield Capital Partners LLC was formed as an independent investment management firm specializing in alternative credit-based strategies. Stanfield is an SEC registered investment advisor, headquartered in New York, New York. Many of the members of Stanfield comprised the original leveraged loan team of Chancellor LGT Senior Secured Management.

Stanfield's original core focus was on leveraged loan and bond strategies. Stanfield's Managing Partners structured one of the first independently managed loan portfolios in 1990 and have one of the longest institutional track records in the leveraged loan business. These managing partners, along with the rest of the Stanfield team, are highly experienced in the structuring, documentation and syndication of leveraged loans and other credit-based products.

The Stanfield investment team boasts a long and successful history in the credit markets. Our well-established position as a significant manager in the credit markets, and our long standing relationships, provide us with premier access to substantial investment ideas and opportunities in the primary and secondary markets.

In December 2001, Stanfield entered into a strategic partnership with XL Capital Ltd., a provider of insurance, reinsurance and financial products on a worldwide basis. Our partnership with XL Capital has further strengthened Stanfield's platform as a preeminent provider of a complete spectrum of alternative credit-based strategies.
